Welcome to Summer!

Hello everybody, sorry it's been so long since anything has been written here. We have been very busy with so many different projects and such that time seems to run short, I think we all know what that is like! I have had so many fantastic playing experiences in the last few months. Some that I would like to mention are the Wynton Marsalis tribute we did, it was a blast! The musicians did such a great job of playing through a variety of Wynton's Septet music, and I learned a lot from getting yet another chance to study his music. We toured a little for the jazz fests and I have been writing and recording alot lately. I would also like to mention the Tony Bennett concert that was in Calgary a few weeks ago. What a fantastic performer. I was as mezmorized as the 3000 other people who filled the auditorium, and listened in awe to his quintet. 14 times, 14! that was the number of times he got a standing ovation... well at least when I stopped counting. After hearing that show, I was blessed enough to come back to my studio and wrote 5 songs in the classic american style. Maybe I will get a chance to record a follow up to walk through the park sometime in the near future! And following that topic, Warren and I have been working more on the Groove CD, and I am in prep for recording the first "Piano Sessions" record. If only I could find the time to fit everything in.
